The D.150.5 relaxation chair from the Heritage collection, designed by Gio Ponti and reintroduced by Molteni&C in collaboration with the Gio Ponti Archives, stands among his rare outdoor furniture creations. Its refined silhouette is born of an unbroken side profile that unites every element—backrest, seat, armrests, and footrest—into a single, seamless gesture. A distinctive, gentle curve between seat and backrest, drawn from Ponti’s 1953 designs, further defines its character. Solid teak highlights the excellence of craftsmanship, while cushions with a polyurethane core and a recyclable polyester cover provide comfort and lasting resilience for outdoor use.
